    PHANUEL

    (Phanʹu·el) [from Heb. “Penuel,” meaning “Face of God”].

    A descendant of Asher, whose daughter Anna was a prophetess at the temple in Jerusalem when Joseph and Mary brought Jesus there.​—Lu 2:36.
