Sound Machines Will Reproduce Exactly What Brother Rutherford Said June 2

Keep Your Sound Machines in Time and Tunc

The brethren who travel from place to place have reported that many ot the plimingr.aphs, portable transcription machines ami sound car equipments do not give the exact reproduction of the speaker’s voice, neither of the music.

It is necessary for each one operating any of the above-mentioned machines to sec that they are In exact time, that Is. either 33J or 78 revolutions per minute. You should count the revolutions when the record Is playin; and the needle is in the rroove. It is nt this time when transcription machines should run 335 r.p.m. and the phonographs nt 7S r.p.tn Do not count the speed ot the motor when It is running Idle without the needle’s resting on It. ricnsc five this your careful attention, as the reproduction of the speech should he as pleasing to the henrers as possible. To run it nt the correct speed means good, clear, pleasant reproduction.

Il is so evident that the Lord has brought forth this agency that ■ t might be us-'d by his witnesses in tlic glory of bis name nt this time Unit it hardly requires mentioning in Ilic ISiillc'.in. The fact that the Lord Ims done this, how-ever, places a direct responsibility upon his people.
